Emada Tingerides
LAPD

Emada joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1995. In 2015 she received the honor of being named by Governing Magazine “Public Official of the Year”. Emada was also named one of Los Angeles’ “Most Influential Woman” by Los Angeles Magazine. One of her highest honors was being selected and invited by the White House to be Michelle Obama’s guest for the 2015 State of the Union Address. In June of 2016 Emada was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and worked as a Watch Commander at 77th Street Patrol Division, the Administrative Lieutenant and the Commanding Officer of 77th Street Detectives. In May of 2019 Emada returned to the community she grew up in and was promoted to the rank of Captain at Southeast Community Police Station.
